Why are you running for
a second term?
I
believe that in the last two years, the Foundation has made some great strides
and is heading in the right direction. As a second-term member of the board,
I feel I will be an asset in keeping the continuity on the board and the
continuation of the Foundation's development.
What do you want to accomplish in your
second term?
As a
second-term board member, I plan on continuing the development of corporate
partnerships and sponsorships in order to build our financial stability, and
to gain national recognition for Exchange.
How can the foundation increase
its income?
To
increase the Foundation's income, first it is essential for us to
increase the national visibility and recognition of Exchange, our
national project, and our program of service. Then we can develop
relationships, partnerships, programs, and sponsorships with other
organizations and businesses throughout the country.
Why is it important to support the
endowment?
Supporting the endowment gives Exchange the financial stability to ensure
the legacy of Exchange, support our national project, and our program of
service.
How can we develop
greater member understanding and support for Foundation programs?
We can
develop greater member understanding and support for Foundation programs by
expanding our Foundation District Representative (FDR) program, and improving the communication between the
Foundation and the members of Exchange.
Starting at the club level, how can we
build awareness and support for
the Parent Aide Program and child abuse prevention program of the NEC
Foundation?
The
first step in building awareness and support for the Parent Aide Program is
by spreading the word to our members regarding the successes and the
magnitude of the positive effects our national project has on our
communities. The next step is having educational programs and materials
regarding the Parent Aide and Child Abuse Prevention Programs available to
our clubs and members for their conventions and conferences.
