Albany Exchange Club honors community patriotism

Not long ahead of Memorial Day, the Exchange Club of Albany took time to recognize people who proudly and properly fly their American flags.

The club celebrated businesses and residents during its “Proudly We Hail” ceremony at its meeting Friday. The group honored included CTSI, PetroSouth, Scottish Rite, Ray and Beverly Moody, and John and Lucile Daniels. Both Ray Moody and John Daniels also served in the armed forces, with Moody serving as a Marine and Daniels as a WWII prisoner of war and Korea veteran.

“We basically ride around the community throughout the year,” said Exchange Club member Wes Sadler. “We host this every year, and we pick out several businesses and individuals throughout the neighborhoods. We encourage all people to fly their flag.” Read more.
