Brunswick Exchange partners with Safe Harbor

The month of April is Child abuse prevention. The Exchange club of Brunswick has partnered with Safe Harbor to help bring awareness to our community.  The National Exchange Club’s National Project, the prevention of child abuse, was adopted in 1979 with the encouragement of National President Dr. Edward North, Jr., a physician from Jackson, Mississippi, who observed increased incidences of abuse through his medical practice.

Safe Harbor’s mission is to provide shelter and therapeutic services to children who’ve been abused, abandoned or neglected; who are homeless or have run away from home; or who are otherwise at risk or feel threatened.

Ms. Rodeo U.S.A. 2017 helped safe Harbor Andrea Belton, community prevention specialist. And Jessica Floyd, Rainbow Floyd and Kira Browning “plant” a pinwheel garden at the Rodeo at the Beach, an event held at the Exchange club of Brunswick fair grounds. The Rodeo at the Beach is one of the events put on by the Exchange club of Brunswick as a fund raiser .
