January 31, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE To: News Directors, Assignment Editors From: Michelle Mazzei, Associate Director of Communications, The National Exchange Club, 800/924-2643, info@nationalexchangeclub.org, Web site: www.nationalexchangeclub.org National Exchange Club Wins Crystal Awards Toledo, OH.-- Public relations, communications and marketing efforts for the National Exchange Club earned four distinct honors, including a top prize, in this year's Crystal Awards sponsored by the Toledo Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications. The awards recognize northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan communications professionals for excellence in photography, writing, television, design, advertising, public relations, non-profit public relations, audio visuals and the World Wide Web. The Tia Mowry PSA on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, produced by the Communications Department, won a Crystal Award in the TV PSA category of TV/radio. Judges evaluated the quality of content, editing, script, soundtrack and photography as well as budget and project results. In addition, Awards of Merit went to the National Exchange Club Website, in the non-profit website category of audio visual interactive, and to a photographic series entitled "Hurricane Katrina," in the photography category of black and white or color series. Photographs were judged on interesting visuals, good technical quality and appropriateness of use. The Core Marketing Portfolio produced for the National Exchange Club Foundation by the Communications Department was also honored with a Merit of Achievement in the special purpose publication design category. |
