The Anderson Noon Exchange Club has chosen Fred and Barbara Freeman as the 2017 Book of Golden Deeds Award recipients.
Through tireless efforts and personal commitments over five decades, the Freemans have demonstrated leadership and compassion in providing more than 150 children in Madison County with a place to call home. They have opened their home for foster children who found themselves in need of love, care, and a safe place to sleep. For these reasons, the club has chosen to acknowledge and honor the Freemans with this Exchange Club community award.
The Book of Golden Deeds Award banquet will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Edgewood Golf Course and Event Center, 519 Golf Club Road, Edgewood. A punch reception will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person or guests may reserve a table for up to eight guests for $225. Reservations are due Friday, Oct. 13.
This year marks the 49th presentation of the award by the Exchange Club. Past recipients include Charlie and Hazel Dickmann, Jim and Marilyn Ault, Don and Sandy Volk, Tom and Bobbette Snyder, Charles Braddock, Matilda Barber, Judge Dennis and Emily Carroll, and Carol and Betty Erskine, to name a few.
