Local nonprofits benefit from successful fundraising

This year’s annual Early Bird Exchange Club’s Independence Day 5K and Healing Hill of Hope proved to be successful fundraising endeavors.

The final accounting of profits were divided between the EBEC, Child Abuse Prevention Awareness council and BCCADV with the Shelter House.

Each entity received a check for $1,826.06 during ta recent meeting of the EBEC at the CHC conference room in Coldwater.

Judy Cumming of the Exchange Club presented the checks to Kathy White; for the BCCADV and to Rob Miller, director, for CAPA.

Kim Hemker, executive director of the BCCADV, received a large donation from the EBEC, of socks, underwear and school supplies for the McKinney-Vento student program. Read more.
